AGM and Playing Membership for 2024
It's that time again my brother duffers, the Minutes from the AGM have been circulated and so we're now pressing everyone for your Subs for 2024.

Captain's Day, Eastham Lodge GC, 15th October 2023
And so, Skipper Fitzy's year in the sun appropriately came to a close on a sunny Autumnal day with his Captain's Day at Eastham Lodge Golf Club, rounding off a cracking 2023 season.
16 Floggers turned out to compete for the MellWood Memorial Shield, plus a Captain's Day Trophy and bottle of fizzy shampoo provided by Captain Fitzy, plus a Garmin watch kindly donated by Chris Sullivan, and the day was contested closely as always.
In 3rd place was Chris Sullivan with 34 points, whilst runner up on 35 points was the man of the moment, Captain Fitzy, but our 2023 Captain's Day winner on a mammoth 39 points, claiming the Memorial Shield for the third time, was John Chapman. Well done to Chappo!
Gertie Goose wasn't on show as Paul Towers has whisked her off to sunnier climes for the Winter, but Fitzy contributed a drinking golf game for the lowest scorer to drown their sorrows with, which turned out to be Colin Lewis, thanks to his return of 24 points!
3 out of 5 NTPs were won by Dannie Parr, John Doyle and Fitzy himself, with the proceeds from the remaining 2 being added to the Captain's Charity collection.
Talking of which, many thanks to all for contributing a tidy sum towards the Captain's nominated charity, Maggies - Cancer Support, providing vital support and advice for anyone diagnosed with this awful disease, well done everyone.

Captain's Day 2023 Change of Venue!!!
There's been a change of plan for Fitzy's big day due to a glitch or two at Aldersey Green, so we are now playing at Eastham Lodge GC, with the tee time being at 12.18, so please could everyone arrive by 11.00 for a bacon butty beforehand and to organise the draw.
Currently, we have a 20 strong group, so hopefully everyone is still available to bid Fitzy's Captaincy a fond farewell and have a good knock on Sunday!
Captain's Day 2023
Our beloved Skipper, Fitzy has organised his Captain's Day farewell for Sunday 15th October 2023 at Aldersey Green GC, with the first tee being at 11.30 a.m., so arrival before 10.30 a.m. for bacon roll and the draw. We'll be playing for the Memorial Shield along with a Trophy contributed by the Captain Fitzy himself.
Although the cost of the day is being met out of Society funds, Fitzy will be collecting for his nominated Charity, Maggies - Cancer Support, on the day from all participants.
Please let Fitzy (or Al Dennis) know if you would like to attend so a list of attendees can be finalised please.
