Hawkstone 2020
Well, if ever a weekend's golf away in the best of company was ever needed, it was certainly this one, the year of the Covid!!
Once again, I think it's safe to say that a memorable time was had by all.
The two courses were in great nick after recent rain, the Championship course was a bit wet, but the Hawkstone course was absolutely spot on again. The weather Gods were mostly kind and the accommodation and food were top notch.
A huge vote of thanks again goes to John Doyle, John Chapman, Bob Stewart and Graham Donnelly for making all of the arrangements and organising another very successful trip away.
Well done to everyone who picked up the NTP winnings, and special mention for Gary Chapman who won the Saturday Stableford Comp on the Championship Course and then made it a clean sweep by also winning the Sunday Pairs Comp with Danny Parr on the Hawkstone Course.
Another host of great memories made and we will be returning in 2021 to have another bash!

Season 2021 Events Schedule
Greetings one and all, hope everyone including loved ones are fit and well with all that we've endured in the last 6 months.
Hopefully we can look forward to life being closer to normal in 2021 if we all look after one another.
So, in looking forward, we're pleased to announce that, thanks to John Doyle's amazing efforts, all of the venues we were due to visit this year have been rearranged for next Season, maybe in a slightly different order, but the Events section has been updated for your information and to allow you to get the dates in your diary well in advance.
To all attending the upcoming Hawkstone Park weekend, let's have a blast, and to everyone else, keep yourself and everyone around you safe and hopefully we'll see you out on the fairways very soon.
Season Cancelled
Sadly, we are cancelling this Season for the Society due to the ongoing issues surrounding the Corona virus.
Mr. Doyle has valiantly attempted to rearrange cancelled Event dates and we were down to 5 Events, however, Antrobus has now informed us that they cannot accommodate us, reducing the bookings to just 4 Events, and, with the rearranged Event at Llangollen due just a week after the Antrobus Event, we have pre-empted them cancelling too and have taken the decision to simply call it a day for this Season.
John is contacting all the same Clubs to book them for next year and we will let you know the rearranged dates for 2021 in due course.
We will still hopefully be holding an AGM later in the year and we will contact everyone to let you know the details.
In the meantime, stay safe and healthy one and all, keep your swing loose and let's look forward to those golfing days ahead of us in 2021.
Grange Park Event Rearranged
Rearrangement update
We are assuming that the world is going to start opening up for business in June, and so, being as optimistic as we can, Mr. Doyle has rearranged the Grange Park event for Sunday July 26th, 13.00 Lunch and 14.15 First Tee.
This has been added to the Events tab and you can confirm your attendance in the usual way, note the deadline date for payment for this one will be Sunday July 12th.
