Events Rearrangements Update
Right gang,
Due to the ongoing Corona nightmare, it has been decided that we will also be pushing back the Vale of Llangollen Event.
Mr. Doyle has provisionally rearranged the Event for Sunday 5th July 2020, with Lunch at 13.00 and first Tee at 14.10.
The Events at both Leasowe & Grange Park are yet to be rearranged, but you will see that they have simply been deleted for now.
This all means that, as things stand, the Society's first Event of the year will hopefully be at Antrobus on Sunday 28th June 2020. Obviously, there are no guarantees for any of the Events at present, we can only follow Government advice and we'll keep you all updated as the year unfolds.
Keep safe and healthy and wipe your knobs thoroughly after touching.
Corona Virus & Cancellations
Dear all,
Further to the Government's latest increased measures announcements for combatting the Corona virus today, Friday 20th March 2020, the Society has decided to cancel the first two Events at Leasowe and Grange Park.
We will look into the possibility of maybe holding two Events per month later in the year hopefully, in order to get all of our Events in for the Season and look into simply rearranging the dates at these two venues. We'll keep everyone informed as to what we organise.
If anyone wants to be refunded for Leasowe, please message Alan Dennis with your Bank details and we can reimburse you immediately, or, if you prefer, we can simply retain your money until you next play, it's entirely up to you.

2020 Season Opener
Wake up! Wake up! 2020 is now well and truly ripening...
Just a reminder that we are most definitely counting down to the first Event of the 2020 Season at Leasowe now!
The date of that first knock at Leasowe, March 29th, is just over 6 weeks away, but more importantly, the deadline for payment and confirmation of attendance, Sunday 15th March 2020, is just 4 weeks away!
Please remember that it is really important to sort final numbers out for each Event by the deadline date, in order to advise numbers to the club in question.
Hope to see a good strong turnout for the first one and set the precedent for a well attended Season ahead.
Get yourself down to the Driving Range if, like your lazy Captain for 2020, Mr. Dennis (pictured here after sinking the winning putt at the 1965 Open held in Victoria Gardens, West Kirby) you don't play in the Winter and get that swing loosened up!
Captain's Golf Day 2020
As agreed at the AGM fellahs, we will be having a separate Captain's Golf Day in 2020.
The date for your diary is Sunday 4th October 2020 at the Wirral Golf Club, 93 Bidston Rd, Birkenhead, Prenton CH43 6TS.
We'll have the usual coffee and bacon roll at 10.00 a.m., with the first tee at 11.00 a.m.
The cost for this Event will be paid for out of Society Funds for all attending Society Members, as agreed, but Guests will still be welcome at a cost of £28.50 each. The Prize for the Event will be donated by your Captain for 2020, Alan Dennis.
Let's try and get this re-started as a well attended annual Event to round off each year going forward. Hope to see as many of you there as possible.
