Mr. Doyle has managed to sort a replacement Event for Wrexham at Lee Park on Sunday 11th August, at considerably short notice, so thanks for that Doyley.
The Wrexham Event has been deleted from the Website and replaced with the Lee Park Event, so could members please log in and indicate your attendance as per usual.
Fees paid for Wrexham will be honoured for Lee Park, plus, those who have paid but can't make Lee Park will be able to usee them for the next Event they attend, hopefully Chester for the Prizegiving.
Please note that the Wrexham Event planned for this forthcoming Sunday 28th July 2019 has been cancelled due to the Yellow Weather Warnings in place.
The local Forecast for Sunday in Wrexham as at today, Friday 26th July 2019, is for Heavy Rain and a Moderate Breeze with an 80%+ chance of heavy rain all morning and early afternoon.
Even our Goose will be staying indoors and keeping his plastic feathers dry!
A replacement Event is currently being investigated for Sunday 11th August.
A sunny, breezy day with the course well set up for their own Club Championship, made Mossock Hall a stern test.
Once again we had a great turnout of 22, but with just one score over 30 underlining the course difficulty on the day.
At the top, John Robinson carded an excellent 32 as his third 'card in' before gaining full Membership, Graham Leasor's guest, Dave Obby scored a decent 29, but the Event Winner with 28 points was Martin Booth, great steady score Martin, definitely kept his head whilst all around were losing theirs (and many a ball as well!)
NTPs at £15 each were spread between Bob Stewart, guest Colin Wilson and the Society's own Secretary and Lazarus, John Doyle, great to see you back Doyley. There was also just one 2 this time going to our Captain, Mr. John Chapman.
The glory of the Goose could have gone anywhere given the conditions, but this month's recipient of our plastic poultry, along with a unique commemorative Wedgewood Toast Rack, personally engraved by that bloke what does the Claret Jug, with a score of 12 points was Colin 'Toddy' Hodson

Another cracking course and perfect golfing weather too at Ashton-In-Makerfield.
A decent turnout once again with a 22 strong field this time around and scoring wasn't bad either, with 9 cards of 30 points or more.
It was tight at the top with Josh Watmough returning 34 and Danny Parr 35, but the winner with a brilliant 36 points, playing off a very unforgiving Handicap of 4, was Shaun Johnson. Exhibition stuff that Shaun, well in!
Colin 'Toddy' Hodson walked away a few bob richer after getting two of the NTPs, with Danny pocketing the winnings for the third. There were also a number of 2s going to Toddy, Shaun, Colin Newall and Andy Miller, so Benno was relieved of quite a number of his prize balls, missus...
It was a close-run competition for our wonderful Goose, totting up the scores was more exciting than the Eurovision Song Contest, but the UK contestant who was Bigger Than Us and bottom of the pile, on dix-huit (18 points), for the second month running was Carl Ambrose, who had nipped off early to avoid facing the Press.
