An enjoyable day at what was a thoroughly decent course was had by all, Storm Hannah hadn't left too much of a mark, couple of pools of casual water only, thumbs up all round to Doyley for picking this one!
We had another decent turnout of 21 souls but scoring was quite modest with only two scores of 30 or more, our Captain, John Chapman scoring 30 to run second only to a very good knock from our winner this time around, Mark McNally, who carded 32.
Well done Mark!
NTPs went to Carl Ambrose, John Roche (10" from the cup!) and Andy Fitz.
Our glorious Goose (along with a game of Potty Putting which he proceeded to play in the bar) this time went to Carl as well with a score of 20.

An additional section concerning a Complaints Procedure has been added to the Constitution, please could everyone read through and note the content, at John's request as the Society Secretary.
This has been introduced to avoid any potential unintended miscommunications through the WhatsApp Group.
The Website doesn't have the facility to accommodate the addition of Event Guests, so, if you do have a Guest accompanying you to any Event, please could you advise via the WhatsApp Group so that Doyley can monitor final numbers to advise the Club and Benno can check off additional payments made on line.
Bit of a tough start to the 2019 Season at Shaw Hill what with coping with fairway mats and a cold biting breeze, but a lovely course all the same.
Official winner on the day was Paul Mellor with 30 points, just shading Andy Miller on the same score thanks to a superior back 9 countback.
One of our new Members, Martin Booth, did score an excellent 31 points to card the highest score of the day, which will count towards his first 3 cards-in for Handicap assessment, the Committee are watching closely Martin!!
Hitting the bar on 27 points and getting off to a good 2019 start were, jointly, Mark McNally, Darren White and Josh Watmough (a very warm welcome back to Josh from everyone!)
Darren also went home a bit richer after taking the cash on two of the NTPs, with Mark getting the third
The first 2019 Winner of our wonderful goose, plus a bonus prize of '501 Excuses For A Bad Golf Shot', with 15 points was a very proud Danny Parr.
